@fernades45 That’s a much too difficult question to answer. It completely depends upon the vehicle. Usually what comes with a pre-built or RTR RC is already a pretty decent all-around setup for general use, but it varies. Off-road vehicles usually do well all around with roughly 35wt oil, but it depends upon the shock mounting points, type of pistons, and weight of the vehicle!

its a traxxas slash 4×4 STOCK RTR right out of the box
i want it to ON and OFF road, already know a good tires from pro-line -trencher- , now i want to know if i just keep the stock oil that comes with it or if i replace with other oil will make the diferent

@fernades45 Ah! I’d say leave the stock oil in, change to Losi 1/10th scale springs (black 2″ front, blue 2.5″ rear), and get the sway bar set to experiment with. Start with silver bars all around and if the truck still rolls over too easily, try blacks up front. Also experiment with different shock mounting positions per the info given in my RC Suspension 101 part 5 video. Hope this helps!
haha the “show-off” method must be must harder to do with the shock tied down to the A-Arm LOLOLOL

Just out of curiosity… why don’t you remove the springs? This way you might end up with unbalanced shocks.
As I told you, I’m definitely not into this kind of thing.
But I think, anyway, that this tutorial is just great: the particular point of view of the camera, the one everybody trying to do this operation would have, is just perfect for to clearly show how to do it!
Also, you don’t rush, which is great!
